New Baby

Our baby meals ministry serves families as they welcome new babies into their homes.  Teams provide 6 meals for families who have just added a baby to their family by either adoption or birth. Volunteers prepare and deliver a meal to a mom in their area. This team usually serves about one time a month.

The Process

When a baby is born, parents are asked to contact the church office at 440-543-1212 and a team is assigned to bring meals to the family. As a team member, you will be contacted to schedule a day to take a meal. Teams are divided so that you are asked to provide meals fairly close to your home. Your team coordinator will provide you with all information about the family you will be serving (i.e. food allergies, family size, foods to avoid, etc.) as well as an address and contact information.

Please contact Linda Staker via email if you are interested in serving on this team.

  • Sample Dinner Meals

These menus are a guideline as to what kind of meal you might bring. We do not assign specific meals, but you may be asked what you intend to bring so that, when possible, we can avoid providing the family with several similar meals in a row.

  • General Instructions

As a general guideline please bring meals that are ready to serve (i.e. cook rice and noodles so that they only need to be warmed). Our goal is to limit a new mother's work load, so when possible, elimiate steps in the serving of the meal.
