The Parkside Insider: March 11, 2022
In January 2022, a group of dentists, hygienists, and support team members from Parkside Church traveled to Mexico to provide care for people in the village of El Mamey. Home to just a few hundred residents, El Mamey is a small mountain town about a day's drive from Oaxaca.

For team members Kevin Aiken, Jason Aspinall, Jessica Aspinall, Gus Komar, Joni Komar, Doireann Leslie, and Gerald McMichael, it was an opportunity to not only provide much needed dental and medical services, but also an occasion to point people to their greater spiritual need of a Savior. "We serve and leave, hoping they question why we came, and praying the Lord draws their hearts, minds, and souls to find out the answer to that question through his Word, the local missionary family he called there, and through other believers," said Joni Komar.

Last Week's Sermon
from Hebrews 9:1-14

Christ is the all-sufficient sacrifice. Old Testament law provided a system of repeated sacrifices. Offered through high priests, these sacrifices provided temporary atonement for sin so that individuals would be ceremonially clean and able to participate in worship. At the cross, however, Jesus acted as both the Great High Priest and the perfect sacrifice. His greater work of atonement provides believers with direct access to God, complete forgiveness of all sins for all time, and the blessing of a clear conscience.

Prayer and Support for Ukraine

Our prayers are with the people of Ukraine and Russia. We encourage you to be in prayer for them and for this situation.

Many have been asking how they can help during this time. If you would like to support the Ukrainian people in addition to your regular giving, you can designate your gift by selecting “Ukraine Relief Fund,” online, or by writing “Ukraine Relief” on the memo line of your check. Parkside will direct those funds toward a gospel relief ministry which is working right now within Ukraine to deploy field hospitals and distribute food, and in neighboring countries to assist refugees.
