The Bible records accounts of some individuals' extraordinary experiences of God's presence and power. In fact, no one knew the reality of an extraordinary experience better than Peter, who witnessed the transfiguration of Christ. As Peter explained, however, it is not our experiences that are the measure and foundation of our faith, but the unchanging testimony of the whole Bible to who Jesus is and what He has done.
