Of Loneliness and Job
The Old Testament book of Job presents a classic picture of human suffering. Though his friends came to comfort him, their words and actions only increased Job's loneliness. This message contrasts the ineffective actions of Job's friends with the loving example of the Lord Jesus who did not just teach principles but actually shares in our sufferings. We are encouraged to follow Jesus' example in entering in to others' sufferings with hope that rests on biblical truth.
