Born a Child and Yet a King
At Christmastime, Advent calendars serve as a tangible reminder of expectation slowly moving toward fulfillment. Likewise, the Old Testament records how the failures and weaknesses of Israel’s earthly kings created a sense of longing in God’s people—a need for a perfect King to come.
