The Blessed Life Now and the Best Life to Come
As citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, we live the blessed life now because we look forward to the best life to come. In this study, we take a bird’s-eye view of the Sermon on the Mount to see that Jesus’ path to human flourishing flips the value system of the world on it’s head. Instead of power, prestige, and comfort, Jesus taught that the road to our eternal reward is marked by suffering. With Christ as King, however, we can rejoice in present struggles because He has already secured our future glory.
